| Job Description | Caring Cook required for our Family Support Unit
Working 10.00am-6.00pm every Monday and alternate weekends. £17,545-£19,739 per annum, pro rata Our client Buckinghamshire County Council is a 4 star rated Council who have vision and value, and who want to make a difference to improving peoples’ lives. We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time cook to work within for our Family Support Unit offering respite care for children with learning, physical and associated disabilities, aged between 5 and 18 years. We would like you to produce nutritionally balanced meals, which are well presented and tasty for our staff and residents, making this an enjoyable experience for all..You will be responsible for food hygiene and health and safety in the main kitchen, menu planning, purchasing food both locally and through suppliers and working within the constraints of a set food budget alongside the unit manager. Applying candidates would preferably hold a relevant catering qualification and basic Food Hygiene certificate and have experience in a similar role. You will need to work on your own initiative, be a good team member and have good communication skills. In return you will have access to both internal and external training primarily for cooks but also for the needs of the unit as a whole and be part of a lively and committed staff team.
