•    Build confidence in our people
•    Lead by example
•    Rewarding work with real job satisfaction
Here at Oversteps in Dornoch we don’t just see those we work with as older people. They’re someone’s mum. Someone’s dad. Someone’s grandparent. For us, providing the best quality of care is hugely rewarding and our goal is to ensure that every one of our residents enjoys the best possible quality of life.

You’ll have insight into what makes our place tick, and how to keep everything running smoothly, making sure that our positive multi-disciplinary team continues to work closely together.  It can be pretty challenging at times and priorities can change quickly so you will definitely need to be a calm and experienced individual.  You’ll also discover that there’s opportunity to bring in new ideas here though, so your day-to-day focus will involve everything from keeping an open door for our team and listening to our residents, to contributing to wider organisation strategy.

We’re proud of our innovative work here so experience of recruiting and leading a team in a similar care environment is expected.  Building effective networks with people will be key, together with a confident approach to managing a busy workload.  We’re looking for 3 years’ experience of working in a care home as well as an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services or Health Care. You must also hold or be willing to work towards Level 4 in Leadership and Management.

In return, you can look forward to ongoing training and development - not only so you can do a great job, but to help you build your career with us too. There’s also an excellent benefits package that includes an employer contributory pension and generous holiday allowance.
What’s more, you will be part of one of Scotland’s largest voluntary social work organisations. At CrossReach, we offer quality care and counselling to a wide range of people in need. But the real story of CrossReach is the work that our staff do: reaching out and making a real difference to the lives of others. If you’d like to join them, we look forward to hearing from you.

You are required to have a Christian faith and be able to work within and uphold our Christian Ethos. This post is subject to PVG Scheme Membership.

CrossReach is the operating name for The Church of Scotland Social Care Council.
