Head of Estates, Procurement and Health & Safety. 40 hours per week • £47,464 - £51,245 + company car. Edinburgh (but with travel to various sites across Scotland).

At CrossReach, we offer quality care and counselling to a wide range of people in need. But the real story of CrossReach is the work that our staff do: reaching out and making a difference to the lives of others. With 2,000 staff providing support to older people, the homeless, vulnerable children and those with learning disabilities, the effective management of our estate is crucial to their success.

You will be responsible for managing and maintaining the buildings and land of over 50 services across Scotland from the Central Belt to the Shetland Islands. From purpose built accommodation to Victorian mansions, you will ensure they are managed and maintained at an optimum size and condition to meet the needs of current service delivery and planned future development. A significant part of the role will be to deliver best value from suppliers through the effective creation and management of procurement processes. You will also set, implement and manage Health & Safety standards for the support and protection of our service users and staff.

Through five year’s experience at senior management level, you will have a proven track record of managing major capital expenditure, property sales and acquisitions, and providing a planned and reactive maintenance service. Experience of developing and implementing a procurement strategy is essential, combined with a recognised professional qualification in a construction related discipline and a background of negotiating and working with professional consultants/contractors.

In return, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a company car, healthcare scheme, generous holiday allowance and employer’s contributory pension. It’s also the opportunity to make a tangible contribution to an organisation transforming the lives of some of society’s most vulnerable people. Applicants are required to have a Christian faith and be able to work within and uphold our Christian Ethos (This is an occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010.)

Closing date: Friday 9th February 2018.
Interviews will be held in Edinburgh on Monday 12th March 2018.
